What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive facial treatment that gently removes dead skin cells and fine facial hair (peach fuzz) using a sterile surgical scalpel.

I carry out every treatment myself in my private woodland treatment room in Crowborough, tailored to your skin on the day. The result is smoother skin, a brighter complexion and a better base for make-up.

How long does dermaplaning take and how much does it cost?

The Express dermaplaning facial takes 40 minutes and costs £40. The Luxury dermaplaning facial takes 75 minutes and costs £90.

What happens during a dermaplaning facial?

Every treatment starts with a double cleanse, then dermaplaning for the whole face, then hydrating finishing products and SPF. The Luxury facial adds an exfoliating scrub or peel pads, Dermalux LED light therapy with a hand and arm massage, and a PRIORI hydro mask with a neck and shoulder massage.

Is dermaplaning suitable for my skin?

It suits most skin types. I always start with a consultation to check it's right for you and to talk through any concerns.

Does dermaplaning include eyebrow shaping?

No. Dermaplaning covers the whole face, starting an inch under the chin, and does not include eyebrow shaping.

Is The Tollwood Retreat women only?

Yes. It is a women only space and all appointments are by confirmed booking.

Where is The Tollwood Retreat?

In my woodland in Crowborough, East Sussex. I'll send directions and parking details when you book.

How do payment and cancellations work?

Payment is in advance or on the day. As a one person business I ask for 24 hours notice to cancel or rebook. Missed or late cancelled appointments incur a 50% fee.
